Access the Best Beaches in the World

For those seeking water adventures, Ward Village's prime location ensures that the allure of the beautiful Pacific Ocean is never far away.

The community's idyllic location across the street from Ala Moana Beach Park encourages an active everyday lifestyle, where paddleboarding, surfing, snorkeling, swimming, and kayaking are easily accessible for enthusiasts. Whether it's a high-energy surf session or a calming swim, there's something to cater to every individual's fitness preferences.

From the Ward Village/Ala Moana neighborhood, Waikiki's iconic beaches are easily accessible. Kuhio Beach, nestled adjacent to Waikiki Beach, offers a family-friendly atmosphere with its protective seawalls and calm waters. Ideal for swimming, paddleboarding, and picnicking, it's a haven for those seeking a tranquil beach experience. At Queen's Surf Beach, a favorite among surfers and spectators alike, you have a front-row seat to watch the art of riding the waves while enjoying the majestic backdrop of Diamond Head. At the east end of Waikiki, Kaimana Beach is a popular local beach for picknicking and snorkeling. It is also a favorite for monk seals!

If you want more of an adventure, make your way to the North Shore for some of the island's most beautiful beaches, especially for snorkeling and watching big-wave surfers when the winter swell brings some of the biggest waves in the world. After a day on the water, enjoy the local eateries and shopping in charming Hale'iwa Town. Our favorite beaches in this region include Shark's Cove and Three Tables for snorkeling/diving and Waimea Beach and Sunset Beach for relaxing in the summer and watching surf competitions in the winter.

The Windward (east) side of O'ahu also offers gorgeous beaches for kayaking, swimming, and relaxing! Check out Waimanalo Beach for relaxing. On certain days, this beach is ideal for practicing your boogie boarding skills, so don't forget your board! Lanikai Beach has gained popularity over time for its pristine white sand beach. This beach is also popular for kayaking, and kayaks can be rented in nearby Kailua town.
