Construction Begins on Ala Moana Boulevard Elevated Pedestrian Walkway

The State of Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) has started construction on its long-awaited elevated pedestrian walkway bridge across Ala Moana Boulevard between Ward Avenue and Kamakee Street. The walkway will connect Kewalo Basin to the Ward Village neighborhood, creating a more convenient connection over busy Ala Moana Boulevard. Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, May 2, 2022 through late Fall 2023.
