The Howard Hughes Company has filed development permits for its 12th residential project at Ward Village, Mahana. As the final building framing Victoria Ward Park, Mahana is located on the northeast corner of Halekauwila Street and Ward Avenue. This mixed-use project is planned to include 340 residences, approximately 17,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space, and an outdoor gathering area along the new Halekauwila Street extension, which will begin at the Ward Avenue corner of the Ke Kilohana tower and will connect across Ward Avenue through to Kamakee Street. The residential tower will include a parking podium with resort-style amenities on Level 8 that are aimed toward promoting wellness and sense of community among residents and guests.
The project is envisioned to enhance the already vibrant, pedestrian-friendly residential and commercial community of Ward Village, and will create a unique and special living experience.
Meaning "warmth" or "warm feeling," Mahana will welcome residents and visitors at the 'ewa-mauka gateway to Ward Village. Mahana Ward Village will draw color, material and pattern inspirations from the natural light, warmth of the sun, the vibrant evening tones of a sunset and the stories of place and cultural tales of the significance of the sun. These infused inspirations conjure feelings of friendship, home, and community.

Consists of a single condominium tower located on a 75-foot-high parking podium with 503 parking stalls
10,905 square feet of open space
47,900 square feet of recreational amenities provided on Level 8 deck
Preliminary amenities include two outdoor decks, large swimming pool and hot tub, cabanas, BBQ area, dining area with views of the park and marina, gym, private dining rooms, spa, and golf simulator.

Mahana is the 12th residential project at Ward Village. Six mixed-use residential buildings in Ward Village have been completed to date, including Waiea, Anaha, Ae'o, Ke Kilohana, A'ali'i and, most recently, Ko'ula. Victoria Place, Ulana and The Park Ward Village are currently in construction. Plans for Kalae have been approved by the Hawaii Community Development Authority (HCDA) and construction is anticipated to begin in 2023. In February 2023, another application was submitted to the HCDA for Ward Village's 11th proposed development, The Launiu Ward Village.
